Close Graves' Disease
I was diagnosed with Grave's disease in November of 2008. i had a total thyroidectomy in june of 2009.
Treatments
- Love Working / Worked
- love helps to heals all wounds
- Methimazole Not Working
- it did actually slow down my thyroid production, but it elevated my liver enzymes and the doc ordered me to stop use of it.
- Thyroidectomy Working / Worked
- TT in june '09. right away my symptoms of graves disease became less and less. i haven't had any weight gain either. on synthroid and it works fine.
- Writing Working / Worked
- writing is my talent, my passion, and my voice inside. it is my favorite thing to do and it makes me happy :)

- definitely works. cognitive therapy worked best for me.

- voicing feelings helps one to understand them, and deal with them. before i started talking about how i feel, i didn't pay any attention to my feelings, now, i understand them and accept them.

- writing is my best outlet. it's helped me understand my feelings, get them out, cope with depression, and i love it with a passion.
