Update Mood
Wednesday, August 26, 2009 | A General Update story
I've been working on my schoolwork, even when I haven't felt like it.  The other day, I was dying of stomach cramps and gas and nausea, but I still got together with my English teacher.  I was kind of proud of myself.  I'm getting together with my general homebound teacher tonight sometime.  She works as a regular teacher during the day, and school isn't out, yet, and then she gets her allergy shots.  Then, she'll come pick me up, maybe get me a Frosty from Wendy's or something, and we'll go over to her house.  I'm on Chapter 3 of US History (those chapters are long.  Good thing I like History!) and I've stopped in Anatomy for now, over halfway through.  I have six chapters left in Grapes of Wrath for English 3 and then, I'll take the book tests and unit tests, then it'll be the last unit of English 3.  Then, I'll start on English 4.  I've been going to cycles with my stomach and I'm in the phase where I hardly have any problems with it if I watch what I eat.  My doctors were testing me for diabetes, and I do not have it, although they have reconfirmed that I'm osteopenic and am low in Vitamin D.  I have two Vitamin D pills to take, one a month for the next two months, then I'll get my Vit D levels tested again.  On Sept 1, I have to see my urologist again.  I'm not looking forward to that, but I'm kind of ignoring that for now while I concider my options.  If I can do things anonymously, I'm much more willing to do something about it.  September 14 is my birthday and I'm hoping to have a birthday party with chocolate ice-cream cake, although I'm not sure if I'll get that.  This Friday, Mom and I are having a meeting with a nurse from a program that will help us with medical finances and with choosing doctors and treatments and she can get me into counseling and support groups that are affordable.  This Saturday, I get to see my best friends, I haven't seen them in forever.  I'm looking forward to seeing them.  Maybe, since, being in the dorms at the local college, they don't have to have their mom's permission, I can see them more often.  That would be cool.  I had been reading for entertainment again, but I've stopped again.  The book I started reading has my abusers name as one of the main characters, so it hurts to read the book, even though it's very interesting.  I'm not sure if I want to keep reading or just not read it again.  It's sitting in my bed, waiting for my decision.  My back has been hurting me quite badly the past few days, but I can bare it.  I'm low on ibuprofen, though, so I need more to deal with all of the constant pain I'm in.  I can't take the pain meds I was perscribed after the urologist because they made me feel worse and made me feel like I was falling apart, which the urologist didn't help with that any.  On Facebook, I have a restaurant that I've been taking care of and it's fun.  I'm seeing how well I can do resisting my addiction to the Sims, as my little sister bought the Sims 3.  It's amazing.  I am working on getting over an obsession with Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance.  It's going well with having a new favorite band.  I obsess easily, though, so I'll probably end up obsessed with Otep, now.  I'm also trying to work on my fear of most things and most situations.  I've faced a few of them.  I'm still trying to avoid thoughts of what my urologist did, but it's not really working too well, as anyone who has been through that knows.  Anywho, my father wants to get on the computer soon, so I'll stop typing, now, so that he won't waltz in and read over my shoulder.  Later.
