Close Chronic Pain
I have degenerative disc disease diagnosed 15 yrs ago. progressively gotten worse. I recently herniated 2 discs in my neck, having severe nerve pain. Surgery is on the horizon, only 3 MDs in our area on our ins making me wait until August. Have been on Norco for back, oxycontin recently for neck/shoulder/arm/hand pain ins does not cover, costs me $3.33 a tab. Just put on 25mcg patch wondering about jacuzzi. Couldn't I take patch off when in jacuzzi and put 1 on after body returns normal temp?
Treatments
- Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
- Flexeril causes me to sleep. One tablet will keep me zonked 24 hours.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Have been on Percocet, Vicodin, Norco. Norco worked okay for back, but lots of side effects, and did not work for herniated discs pain.
- Naproxen Not Working
- This did not work and just made my stomach hurt.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Oxycontin CR worked well, except made me so drowsy and insurance would not cover costs.
