I was diagnosed in 2006 but have had problems for 13 years. My sister and father also have BPI. I was divorced in 2007. I work two jobs to keep myself very busy. It keeps me out of trouble. ;-) I have three cats that like to keep me company.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed in 2006 but have had symptoms since 1996. I need to find people that can understand me.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- Felt like I was still manic, had too many side effects.
- Depakote Working / Worked
- Been on it for 2.5 years. Works well but have had problems with my body absorbing the medication.
- Lithium Not Working
- Was super antsy on it. Couldn't sleep. Tremors.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Have been on it for 10 years off and on. Stay on low dose which helps to keep depression at bay but keeps me from getting too happy.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- Only take when I am feeling very manic or if I feel a panic attack coming on. Has been a life saver.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- Using now for sleeping. Has been wonderful with my mind racing. Shuts it down so I can sleep.
