In the last 7 years, I have done the following:
1. Tried the Atkins diet again - several times. I might have lost 10lbs, but I was never able to stick with it for very long.
2. Weight watchers. I lost 20 pounds, but gained it back. I hated the meetings. I hated the cost
3. Medifast liquid diet. I tried this three times. I lost between 10-30 pounds each time, but I always gained it again.
4. Starvation. I tried eating less than 600 calories a day
5. Eating one meal a day. I just flat out failed at this one. I was too hungry :(
6. Exercise...Hmmm... I think about it a lot, but I don't ever stick with it.

WOW...I could have written everything I see here, with a few changes. I did Atkins and lost 70 lbs the 1st time....and have tried it multiple times since, but just can't stand the monotony long enough to lose more than 10-20 lbs, then it comes back. I did Medifast 3 times. The 1st time, I lost 60 lbs...which I regained in less than a year. I did it again and lost about 30, but regained quickly. The third time, couldn't stick with it at all. The times I was successful was when I was doing it with a friend, so we supported each other.
Exercise...yeah....I stick with it for a couple of months, then any little thing comes up...I get sick, I go on vacation...and I don't get back to it again.
The thing is, I feel so much better when I exercise, unless I am doing it to the extreme, and then it just tires me out!
I really liked reading your weight history. It is good to see what has worked and what has not.
I'm going to write my own journal and get started.
Thanks for writing this, it is great inspiration!
