In Hospital Again Mood
Wednesday, July 15, 2009 | A Painful story

Been in hospital a week now.  Docs having difficluty identifying the exact cause of my pancreatitis and associated pain.  Plus my GI doc was out of pocket for three days with the flu.  So, another MRI and some other tests I guess tomorrow.  After that who knows:  go home with script for pain and diet and wait for something to show up on MRI, set me up with IV feeding tube for a few weeks while at home with frequent visits ot doc in hopes that pancreas gets better, and the most extreme is surgery to make sure all bilary ducts are open.  There may be more alternatives but that is the most I could get out of conversation with GI Doc.  Will know more tomorrow afternoon or morning of next day after tests and Doc reviews results.  More waiting and time in hospital.

Had roommate last night that was from Haiti.  Wife couldn't speak english and had four or five family members on last night an hour after visiting hours over.  Loud talking, laughing, and singing. Got them to leave but the wife slept in the room with husband.  Wife brought prepared food for the night.  She was singing again this morning like she was doing a solo at church--loudly.  They sent him home with suspicion he had kidney stone.  I'm thinking they took a one day vacation:  free room an board and some pain meds.  Who knows, wierd experience in hospital especially since I'm kind of dingy with pain meds and not sure what is real or dreamed.

Will update after next visit with doc after tests.  Peace and love to all.  Jim
