Hey Everyone
Well, long time no speak!
I was rushed into hospital and admitted on Sat 23rd Oct. With OHSS, a very serious case of it. I was dangerously dehydrated / bloated / violently vomiting non stop, wasnt drinking or eating etc etc. Since being in hospital I have also developed terrible fluid build up everywhere and some blood clotting.
However, after almost two weeks in hospital I am finally starting to improve and see the light at the end of the tunnel. The consultant is thinking of letting me go home in another 2 weeks.
I am only just today well enough to do things and function properly, so my DH brought my laptop in, so I am go online!
I have been through hell and felt like death itself, it has been so awful, even on the Sunday after I was rushed in the doc came and told me that I am pregnant, I couldnt get happy or anything about it, because it just didnt seem for real and if it was I was certain I'd probably lose it because of all what was happening to me and all the drugs they were giving me!
But each day I have been having my check ups and they have been checking my bloods and my BETA is now over 1000, so the consultant has assured me that all is well!!!!!
He is going to book me in for a scan in another week.
I just can't believe it!

Congratulations first of all! But I'm sorry that you feel so awful. What you have just been through I guess is what we all fear may happen, but most of us are lucky not to have any problems after IVF. I hope you continue to improve and again, congratulations!

Thanks! I am feeling really unwell again today as had a really bad night last night. I will be so glad when I am better and can go home!! Yes I too would like to know when day 1 of pregnancy is classed from??? Anyone know? At a guess I would say from the day of ET????

First, I hope things change for the better quickly for you. You should be able to enjoy being pregnant.
Second, regarding how far along you are. Normally, day one of your pregnancy is the first day of your last period. As we all know, going through IVF that is hardly not the case. So, instead, count 14 days back from the ER which is the day you "ovulate" and count that day as day one. They base this on a 28 day cycle even though it is in our cases artificially made. Hope this helps.
