Close Stuttering

Well, I have been stuttering ever since I was a sophomore in high school. Basically it just came one day and progressively got worse, now I stutter everytime I speak. At first I tried to hide it by keeping quiet and only saying one word answers-it worked for three years...until I went to college and I couldn't hide it any more. My stutter got worse and I felt hopeless-like no one understood me. Now when I get into situations where I can choose to stay quiet or speak, I try to speak. :)

Treatments

Patience Somewhat Helpful

I am basically doing a self treatment...where I put myself into situations where I have to speak. If you think you cannot do it, you won't be able to. It takes confidence and that is what I am trying to live by. (It seems to be working...I still stutter just as much but I am gaining confidence in myself).

Close Abstinence & Celibacy

Because I love God and I am for abstinence until marriage.
