I have ptc/iih. I was diagnosed 2 years ago. Still struggling with managing condition.
Treatments
- Acetazolamide Somewhat Helpful
- made my headaches manageable but did not relieve all of my papilledema.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- Was stared on Topamax when my shunt malfunctioned along with diamox until it could be fixed and for the first time in two years a had days with no headaches. With the shunt I did not have severe headaches when it was working but still had headaches everyday. I have a programmable shunt but i guess my comfort zone was between setting because i never found it. I have decided to continue the topamax even though my shunt is fixed and I am looking foward to many more headache free days.
