Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
My name is Lucy and I have been managing the chronic pain that is associated with IC since 2006. I would like to share ideas with other people that manage IC.
Treatments
- Bladder Distention Working / Worked
- I went in the OR and I was diagnosed with IC and I was given photos of my bladder that showed inflammation. It relieved my pain a little bit for a temporary amount of time.
- Bladder Instillation Working / Worked
- I have Heparin, Soidium Bicarbonate and Lidocane.
- Elmiron Working / Worked
- It has helped with the pain above the pubic bone but not with the deep pain inside my vagina.
- Macrobid Somewhat Helpful
- In the beginning days this was somewhat helpful
