I'm currently unemployed and strugling to stay positive. I previously worked at a community health clinic for 14years before they laid me off. I'm a mother of 3 wonderful children. I'm blessed to have 2 out of this world sisters, a gang of uncles and aunties, nieces and nephew who adore me.

I just filed for divorce after 14 years of being with my husband due to infedelity on his part. Last year I found out he's been seeing someone else for 6 years, I went crazy and even attempted suicide. I need help now before I get to that stage again. I feel so betrayed and hurt and I need to be ok for my children.
Treatments
- Family Therapy Not Working
- My husband used it as a way of throwing my flaws to my face. It did not work at all.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I had a wonderful counselor who I was able to open up completely for the first time in my life. She helped me manage my anxiety and to cope with some of my issues.
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Talking to friends/family helps sometimes; but they could be harsh sometimes thinking that I'm not trying hard enough.
- Writing Working / Worked
- I have about 5 journals...none of them are finished. I have poured my heart into pages that at the time make me feel better but when I later go back to it I realize that I have gone through hell.

Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
My son is about to turn 13 and our family is going through divorce.

- Education (School) Working / Worked
- I spoke to his homeroom teacher to let her know our situation in case he showed any behavior changes.
- Patience Considering
- I'm not sure since we're going through a rough time...I've more patience than the usual...maybe too much.
- Psychotherapy Considering
- My son went to a session but does not want to go back.
