I'm off today to the Lavender festival in Sequim - fields of blooming lavender with the beautiful Olympic mountain range in the distance....looks and smells like Provence when the fields are blooming. I am so excited to have a whole day to spend with an old friend (met her at my first date with my now hubby) rambling through fields of fragrant lavender....strolling the crafts and art displays at the street fair....oh and yes....EATING all kinds of yummy delights from the food booths. I just finished teaching two friends how to weave lavender wands on Wednesday so I am excited to see what kind of craft ideas I can pick up this year at the festival. It is going to be a beautiful day here in the Pacific NW - mid 80's I think......couldn't get a whole lot better than this......

I can almost smell the lavender through cyber-space..sniff, sniff...yes, I think I can! And the food booths! lol Isn't it lovely to be able to enjoy life again, yes it is, that wasn't really a question. What kind of food! lol...just kidding, trying to be funny! No, really, tell me all about it! lol I was reading someone's journal before yours, crying, and now I'm smiling, it's kinda' making my cheeks hurt! LOL. I love my dose of DS! And just for today, I will not gamble!

The festival sounds really cool...hope you have a great time! Isn't it great to be able to be really PRESENT for activities like this....when I was gambling, nothing else excited me....
