I just got home from the store. I did get a rx from the dr for celexa. I picked it up and just took one. I also got some B12 (the kind that melt in your mouth). I've heard that B vitamins help with alcoholism. I am so hoping the celexa will help and not have side effects. I know it will probably take a few weeks to tell. I hope that I will be able to tell pretty quickly if it works or not. I feel a little better that I got something. It makes me feel like I am doing something to help myself. I told her about the pain in my armpit and she is sending me to a family dr (I don't have one) so I have to wait to see if the dr accepts me as a pt. She will order whatever blood tests and keep an eye on the Celexa and how it's going. I'm worried about the blood tests a teeny bit. If she orders an LFT - I wonder if or how bad it will be and if that will alert her to my problem. I hope not.
At the store I saw a guy I haven't seen for a long time and he is getting a divorce. He didn't ask me out or anything like that just talked for a minute. I've known him for a long time and his wife for almost all my life. But it made me feel good - we hugged when he first walked over. I miss hugging. Even tho it was nothing, it still made me feel good for a little bit. I'm glad to have the dr appt over with. She pushed on my stomach and didn't feel anything wrong. My stomach and lower back have been hurting me today. And I also felt burning in my stomach this morning.....I wonder if I'm trying to get an ulcer and it's not all about my liver and GERD issues. My stomach was burning right after my coworker told me she was leaving in ten minutes for the day which I didn't know. The doctor also said I may be having gallbladder issues, hence referring me to the family dr. The moles I was worried about didn't seem to concern her at all so that is a good thing too.

Nothing beats a real-world hug! I know you are concerned about the doctor knowing but you've got to get better. That trumps every other thing in your life. Get better!
I read something once like "Health is like the number 1 and everything else in your life is a 0. If you put the 1 after all the zeros, you have little to nothing. If you place the 1 before all the other zeros, you are wealthy beyond measure."

It could well be an ulcer or beginning of an ulcer. Also the gallbladder is also not helped by drinking. I do hope you told the dr about your alcohol addiction.
Until you realize fully how much your alcohal addiction is wrecking your health, I doubt you will feel better (without pain). If you want to avoid a lot of pain further down the road, you should get into a recovery program of some kind pronto. But you have to be the one to see you have a problem and you need help to heal. Plain and simple, your body is telling you not to drink the stuff. But its your life to waste on booze if that is really what you choose.
