As you come to the tree, you begin looking at the water, wondering if perhaps you could snag a fish....So very hungery. Looking in the pack of supplies you find a hook and string. After unwinding the string and hook, you begin looking for a branch that could be used for a fishing pole. After searching the immediate area and finding something suitable to use, you return to the stream. The water seems to be fairly clear...don't know if it's safe to drink though. Again looking up and down the stream, you find that the fishing would be fine from on top of the tree fall. Going out on the tree about six or seven feet, you begin to see fish swimming around that are large enough to eat.. After seeing the fish swimming around, and sitting down to fish you think..I must be an idiot...I don't have anything for bait or a lure!!! Jeez...these hunger pains are really making me lose my mind.. After letting out a huge sigh of distain, you get up and walk back to shore.. Wondering where you might find some thing for bait, you find a rotten log light enough to roll over.. YES! There are many creeping bugs and a few worms to use under here!! Gathering up the needed bait, you return to the log fall and walk again back out to the spot where you saw the fish earlier. Again taking out the fishing rig you had made before, you find a limb that you can use to lean back on. Baiting the hook, you toss it into the water, and wait for a bite. As the hook sinks away into the darkness of the waters depths, you take a drink of the flask you filled yesterday, telling yourself you also need to refill it, if you can ever come across a spring again. As the time goes by you continue to see the birds come and go. The deer come and drink before heading back into the forest. So many wonderful things about this spot. You wonder if you will ever again see such a beautiful place as this. The bite comes as you are thinking deep thoughts, and before you can react the fish has taken the bait and swam away. Baiting the hook again, you remind yourself that you must be ready next time, there isn't much bait. Throwing the hook back in, you settle down on the limb, but try to be alert this time around. After about 5 minutes the fish bite again, but this time you are ready. Pulling the line and hooking the fish, you wind up the string and land the fish. Wow, this one fish will be plenty to eat, with enough left over for breakfast in the morning. After cleaning the fish and washing your hands, you begin looking for a place to start a fire and cook the food. TO BE CONTINUED>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
