  I really hope you are feeling better soon and that the brace helps. You are so young that it should help you to heal faster. \ I noticed your info that you are fromKirkland Lake and that is where I went to school too. Although that was back in the mid seventies!I went to KLCVI for grade9 and 10 after King George Elementary. I hope you feel better soon!!!

  You have been through alot in your years but remember 1 thing.....that that does not kill us makes us stronger. My sisters went through a lot growing up and she went to a shrink and he told her that she was a weed because she had gone through all of that and she was still going strong. You are just like a weed - growing strong. I pray that things will keep get better for you. God bless and lots of love........Margie

  Hi, I am very sorry for your bad stretch of luck but I think that it can only get better. I will pray for you. God has a reason for everything and I dont know why this horrible thing had to happen to you but he does and I pray that he will reveal that to you soon and I pray that he will heal you of your pain.

  Hi Lauren, I'm sorry that your have to go thru some much at your age but you got to mr strong and try to keep your faith. I went to sent a bahavior theraphist and they have prescribe me some cymbalta and told be to hold off on my nuerotin, it very depressing to be were your at but try to think of some other hobbies or something that will ease your mind. If you need to talk write me any time you will be in my prayers stay strong. :) :) :)

I will be going to take a MRI on Aug 24, to determine if they are going to recommend a second surgery for myself. But no matter what you have to keep up the faith. Your in my prayers.Carla

  Hello Lauren I'm sorry at such a young age your going thru all of these. I recommend taking the shots to see if that they will work for you. When my back went out that was not an option I had to have surgery, then my surgery failed so everything in my life has changed. I'm currently taking the shoots and they not working for me but, you must realize I had a surgery that failed I'm 46 years old and other disc has messed up in my back from the surgery. Please try the shoot and therapy to prevent any future surgeries. One thing about have surgery is that it either going to be successful or not. Unfortunately my did not. My whole life has changed since then it will be a year on June 23 and I cannot do 85 % of what I use to do. I have to have a cane to assist me when I walk, cant work or drive, so sweet try all options first. The shoot is painless the give you something to relax you and there only once a month. You have you whole life ahead of you . Hugs

  Aw, Lauren! You are definitely not alone! And I'm extremely grateful to have a new friend that can relate to me. I know how you feel, everyone I know that is my age, and I'd even go as far as to say that everyone I know, does not have the problems I have. It can get very lonely! When I first got really bad, at 15, I spiraled into a deep depression because no one my age understood, and no one cared to slow down for a minute, accept my limitations, or accommodate me in order to include me. I started making new friends that were better at trying to understand and listened when I told them what I needed. I have to sit, I can only stand for 10 minutes, so now when I got out, my friends know to go somewhere that has chairs and they will always steal other people's chairs if I can't find one, hahaha! When I found this site a few years ago, it helped my emotions so much. It also let me know I'm definitely not alone. This is a great place to talk about struggles, treatments, options, and experiences. I'd be totally lost on medications and treatments if I didn't have this site! If ever you were to post and someone is rude, please don't take it to heart. The majority of people here are wonderful, caring, helpful, and supportive! Please come to me if someone is rude, I'll help you to put them in their place! :-) I'll help you in every way I can! I actually work for a chiropractor; I met him as an emergency patient 2 years ago. He's helped me sooo much, more than any medical doctor ever has! Just make sure your chiro doesn't adjust you at the level that you have your problem. Other than that, adjusting won't make you worse. I get my neck, upper back, wrists, and ankles adjusted because they're always painful due to the way I have to walk, sit, and live. A LOT of people hate on chiros, but that's only because they've gone to a bad one, or they have medical doctors that told them that "chiropractors are bad and will only make you worse." A lot of people will believe whatever their medical doctor says. Sure there are bad ones, but there are bad doctors of any sort. It's always important to make sure you have a good doctor, regardless of whether it's a medical doctor, chiro, or surgeon! Ask him about auriculotherapy. This helps my nerve pain more than any nerve pain medicine. Ok, this is getting long but I can't wait to talk to you more!!!!! Much love, Lisa

  Hi, I'm 22 and live with severe back pain daily. I totally understand what it's like to live in pain while young... I've had mine since I was 15.
