Sweetie, take some advice from this old lady in Texas, that has a granddaughter only a years younger than you.
      1. Your life is far from over, simply because you have this disease. I am 53 years old, been fighting the reality of CD since I was a child. During my life, I married, had two children, and know have four grandchildren. You disease, although if feels devastating at this moment, is not a death sentence to life. You can have a full life despite it.

      2. Diet does make a difference, but don’t be lead astray by a promise of a cure called the RAW DIET.
You are not a monkey, nor were your ancestors, thus you do not have to eat as one. You are a child of God! Created in His image, not a baboon. Although, dietfromUC would like you to believe that. We are trying to as a group to ignore him . The truth is that although there is no cure for this disease at this time, you can put your UC in remission. Ask KewlB, he has 27 years of experience to share. He is no longer controls his UC with medication, but through a well balanced diet . You will find his pic on you
Post, fallow it and be free.

      3. Never give up on your dreams of the future!!!!

You are not alone in this battle

Thank you hun! That meant a lot. Wow, I just noticed your age. I am so sorry you are dealing with so much at such a young age. 15 and 16 are such life-changing years for a teenager. I feel so terrible for you. I think I have had Crohn's for a very long time, because in high school I lost so much weight and I only weighed about 115 lbs. I could eat anything and never gain a pound. My GI's told me that was probably due to the fact my body was malnourished and the Crohn's wasn't allowing it to store any nutrition. Hang in there. And thank you for the advice! It's been rough, especially now that I am working 6 days a week. I've been so sick and I believe you are correct,it's probbably due to stress and many other influences. Have a great day and I hope to talk to you soon!!
