Today is a VERY happy day. I got on the scale and it read 298lbs. =-) I could Not believe it. I started at 363lbs, therefore, I am so happy right now.. I know that I am STILL very much Oerweight and have a LOOOONg Way to go, but I am thankful for having had the surgery and I no longer take any medications for Diabetes. Its been kind of a slow process for me. I haven't lost in large numbers at all. I am 6 months post-op and other people have shed like a 100lbs or MORE in 6months. I can only worry about losing weight PERIOD, not how FAST it comes off. I'm excited and inspired to keep going!!!

Congratulations! That's a big deal breaking the 300 mark. If you can imagine, I'm still trying to break the 400 mark so I can get my surgery. You are losing at a slow steady rate and I know that can be frustrating, but you will be more likely to keep it off. Getting off your diabetic meds - that's huge! You should really be proud of your accomplishment.
