You were denied disability? Ack! I just saw this - wow, I wonder about Canada's system... In the US it is normally long & drawn out & a lot of people are denied at first, then they appeal it and it is a waiting game... I applied and was approved in 2 months (it was weird & I have no idea why exactly - their pdoc interviewed me and changed my dx though to schizoaffective from bp1) Anyways I hope you can maybe apply again? I hope things are working well for you (other than that) :hugs:

Depression can come out of nowhere and just stay like an uninvited visitor... well for me it does... Do you have schizoaffective disorder, depressed type? I almost always have low level depression - well the majority of the time. I do get manic & hypomanic here and there(and I get really really beautiful euphoric manias), but mainly it is the low level depression. It was waaaay worse & I was suicidal when not on enough meds :-( Even though I still have a form of depression, it is waaaay better than before... Are you on antidepressants? Do you find them to help?

I am on disability here in the US (noticed your status message), yea I hate it too... I was approved in 2 months - this is highly unusual here as well, normally it takes much much longer.. :-( Anyways, I was stopping by to see how you were doing? How is everything?

Treatments
- Geodon Working / Worked
- Made me feel great. Really decreased the frequency of the hallucinations without making me feel to sedated or groggy. Causes some tremors though but it could be from my combination of drugs.
- Risperdal Not Working
- Made me feel very anxious and paranoid. Also made my stomach very upset.
- Zyprexa Somewhat Helpful
- Really helped with the voices and hallucinations, but find it sedated me and made it hard to function. Still trying to balance the dose.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- Lexapro Working / Worked
