really it is so astonishing how alike we all are in this... I'm so thankful i found this place.... keep in touch I would love to hear more of your story
Hi Kissxxes,
Glad to hear that the after effects of your surgery weren't bad - it's amazing really isn't it, when you consider how invasive it is. It's still early days after surgery, and a shock like this to your system could easily have affected your periods, maybe once things have settled, they might return to normal again.
Unfortunately Acro does affect our hormones so much, and can cause a range of fertility problems, with the end result of an early menopause. Unfortunately I speak from bitter experience and only wish my consultant had caught this in it's earlier stages.
Take it easy and fingers crossed that all returns to nromal
xx
Hi Kissxxes
Glad that you're back home safe and well after your surgery. It's easier said than done, but try to relax and take it easy for a few days. Let's hope you're our little success story from this site.
Take care
Shelley

Yuo will be fine, just take lots of rest afterwards and no sudden bending down. Make sure your new hubby minds you well.

I joined this group to try and find out more about acromegaly, to learn from other peoples experiences. I'm hoping it will help to talk to other people who share my problems because it's hard for people close to us to understand.
