Close Diverticulitis
Diagnosed on April Fool's Day 2006. What made this worse was that I had an allergic reaction to both Leviquin & Penicillin and went into anaphylactic shock. Since then I began experiencing panic attacks. Just had my last 2 diver attacks over the last 2 weeks! Now Dr is beginning to talk about possible surgery & I'm freaking out. I am only 46 yrs old & have 2 children to care for, a full time job, bills to pay, college coming up in a few years.
Treatments
- Doxycycline Not Working
- Prescribed this med and on 9th day, began getting abdominal pains again. Now Dr put me on Bactrim. I'm praying this one works.
- Co-trimoxazole Working / Worked
- Never having an allergy my whole life, last yr when diagnosed w/divertic, they discovered i was allergic to leviquin & penicillin ..the 2 most favored meds to treat this.
