About Me
I'm a mother to a beautiful two year old girl, Zoya. I am incredibly happy with my relationship with the most wonderful boyfriend whos also happens to be an incredible father to our daughter. The effects of EDS on my body have become disabling over the past year and I am trying to learn to cope with all the pain as well as the recent physical limitations from EDS.

Interests
I love to read, I've read nearly all the child developement books in our local library, as that is a passion of mine. I have always loved the arts; music, photography, film, poetry, tattoo art, and dance. I was a classically trained dancer for 18 years. It was my passion, my therapy, my meditation, and I had wanted it to be my career. It seems us EDSers tend to be drawn to such physicality. Initially I thought of this as some cruel joke the universe played on us, until my boyfriend pointed out one day that we were "lucky to have gotten the chance to have those experiences while we could". Yup, he's pretty good. I am hoping to start school this fall and work towards a degree in either psychology or sociology.

Hug
I am sorry that you are in pain. I am also tired of being in pain and not having any answers as to why. If you ever need someone to talk to, I would love to listen. Hang in there!

Close Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
I was diagnosed with EDS III last January after years of pain and fatigue and misdiagnosis.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- It definitely seems to be helping my ability to cope with the pain not so sure about its actual pain relieving benefits and it tends to bring on occasional anxiety.
- Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
- It helps with getting to sleep however I still awake many times a night from the pain...often after laying on a dislocated shoulder for far too long.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- It definitely takes the edge off Ive been taking anywhere from 48 a day for the past four months and really wish there were a better alternative as it is really only effective for me for about an hour after taking it then I have 3 hours of pain before I can take more.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Definitely helped with inflammation from dislocations makes me really sweaty though!
- Voltaren Not Working
- No difference in pain on days I take and those I dont.
- Ice Pack Working / Worked
- I constantly am applying ice to something or another
