I am most upset that I am a thirty-six year old African-American female who has been strickened by so many illnesses at such a young age. I lost my birth maother at the age of six months to cancer. Currently, my father is fighting colon and kidney cancer. I have had three fights with cancer and conquered each one. I am currently a thyroid patient with myasthenia gravis and possibly fibromyalgia, too. I need information about good medicines and techinues to cope with my illnesses. Life for me has cahnged due to MG. I am a mother of three with no energy or ability to do active sports and/or activities with them. I teach middle school and cope as much as possible. MG is drastically affecting my marriage as well. Help!

I'm sooooo sorry life has handed you as many difficulties as it has. Goodness!!! I don't know how you do it with 3 children, I only have one and it's all I can do to keep up. I also have lupus and polycythemia vera, of course MG etc, and etc. I just wanted to say that I feel your pain about how much one body can take. Your are an amazing fighter and I have a feeling that you can fight most anything, but when do you get to rest? That's the question. Wishing you the very best and sending the most positive energy your way.

Thanks for the kind words. I hardly ever rest...running on empty. What is polycythemia vera?
