I went to my new doctor this morning at 9:00 am and I am very pleased. She is very personable and wants to help me. She's even going to work on giving me a diagnosis for my Fibro. I've never been technically diagnosed but have had the symptoms for the last few years. She is wonderful so far and I'm glad that I found her. She is sending me to get a free pap test and mammogram through a program here in our town for women between 50-64. It's been 2 years since I had both of those done and I need those tests. They took blood to check my cholestoral and my Vitamin B levels. I explained to her about the constant fatigue that I have. And the great thing about this clinic is that the lab work is included in the co-pay which is only $15.00 for me. She also ordered my blood pressure medicine through the PPA program so it won't cost me anything. She gave me enough samples to last until that comes in though. The pharmacy in the same building will fill the prescriptions on the $4.00 plan also. That makes it extra convenient when I have an appointment. So today has been a really good day for me because I found a doctor who actually cares and listens to me. I go back to see her again on August 27.
