Sorry about the osteo... it was a shock when I was diagnosed last year, Ive never heard of the medication either. I started on Fosomax but stopped it because of the side effects. I am now about to start of Forteo. I hate all these treatments. Good Luck.

Close Osteoporosis
On friday I was diagnosed with osteoporis, what a shock! I'm really scared, the doctor that I went to has put me on a tablet called Protox 1.8. I have never heard of it before and can't find out anything about it on the internet. I'm feeling a bit desperate can anyone tell me if they have heard of this tablet before and what are the side effects.

- Calcium Working / Worked
- well I have osteo, so I cant say that the calcuim tablets have worked. Have taken them for years
