Felt like writing a poem. So, inspired by the "lovely" whether we're having here, i wrote this.
She gazes out the window
Sees the rain as it falls
She looks at it sadly and says
"There's got to be something better than this..."
She gets up, walks to her bathroom
Stands in front of the sink and looks to her right
She glares at the razorblade and says
"There's got to be something better than this..."
She goes into the kitchen
Stands at the stove
Stares at the knives that are gleaming and says
"There's got to be something better than this..."
She goes outside and sits in the rain
Then slowly looks up to the sky
She talks to God and says
"Why can't you give me something better than this...?"
She waits, gives a long pause
There is no answer, her hope diminishes
She goes in her house gets a towel to dry off, lays on her bed, and says
"There musn't be anything better than this..."
She falls asleep...................
The next day is much the same...
And the next...
And the next....
And the next.....
Before she knows it, a whole year rolls by
She has no optimism left
Her spirit has left, she says
"There's got to be something better than this..."
The next day, she embraces her true love
Together they are at last
She looks up into his eyes, smiles, and says
"I knew there was something better."

Very nice.

I don't know how long you've been at this but that was incredible. And I know. I used to do this stuff for a living. Do you play an instrument? If not, you should pick up the acoustic guitar and put this to music. You may have a new career staring you in the face. (And I don't give praise about this kind of stuff lightly).

free, im really not good at poetry. this is the first poem i've wrote that i actually like and can be proud of. words dont come to my head too easily. and poetry format in itself confuses me. thank you for liking it :) also, i do play an instrument. but no stringed instruments. i play piccolo, flute, and can play tenor sax.
