      Thank you for replying to my question. I am very emotional waiting for the surgery date. I can not think straight. I find myself being excited then scarred. The next 13 days will be torture. I do not start the liquid diet for 3 more days.

    • Close Gastric Bypass Surgery

      Hi all, I am 35 and am scheduled to have gastric bypass surgery on 5/26/09. This was one of the most difficult choices i have ever made. I am doing it for my health, and hopefully to get pregnant (tried for a year plus with no luck) and to finally feel free. Food and gaining weight were ways I coped with being sexually abused as a kid. I don't think I need to cope that way anymore - food is not the enemy though - i just need to change my relationship with it.
