    • About Me

I'm 26, and I'm a research biochemist. I enjoy learning... ALOT. My life revolves around learning and reading, but when I read, I also rip hair off my face. So it's a love/hate relationship. While I love learning, I hate this damn disorder more than anything. However, I will conquer it. It has been over 10 years, but the time has come.

    • Close Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling)
      Type: Trichotillomania

I started pulling out eyelashes in 6th grade. At some point in 7th grade, I got made fun of for having thick eyebrows (thin was in), so gradually those went too. The hair pulling comes and goes, but I have been drawing in my eyebrows for about 10 years and have not had close to a full set of eyelashes since high school. I am a perfectionist, so drawing in my eyebrows everyday takes FOREVER! I'm tired of having to wake up every morning and do the one thing I dread the most.

      Treatments

      Rogaine Somewhat Helpful
I tried putting Rogaine on my eyebrows a few years ago and I think it actually did stimulate hair growth or maybe it was in my head. I am going to try it again here soon. I will let you know how it goes.
