About Me
In a nutshell: I'm a rivet-head punk who likes pushing buttons and boundaries. In a bigger nutshell: I'm an artist, Worst Buddhist Evar, genderqueer, insomniac, avid gamer, MMOer, comic and sci-fi geek, and someone who loves trying out foreign food. I don't smoke, rarely drink, and drugs just aren't my thing. I love intelligent conversation, metaphysics, the occult, the arts, music, science fiction, and fantasy.

Support Groups
Close Bipolar Disorder
I was treated for severe depression from the ages of 14 until my mid-20s, when the Anxiety started to manifest. I've been off and on treated since then, and my symptoms grow more severe as I get older
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- This medication did nothing for me.
- Ativan Working / Worked
- Was a lifesaver! Hoping to be prescribed this when I go back on medication.
- Depakote Somewhat Helpful
- Was up to 1500 ER a day, and I suppose it worked well enough over the long term. Did sometimes make me drowsy.
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- I *love* DBT. I went through two three-month courses of it, and it helped me so much with my aggression and rage.
- Geodon Not Working
- Tried it when my doctor was trying to reduce me from five medications down to one. I didn't notice any difference except not liking how I felt while on it.
- Group Therapy Not Working
- I don't like group therapy. At all.
- Lamictal Not Working
- Like some others, it didn't really work for me.
- Risperdal Not Working
- Hated the side effects, stopped taking it because of them.
- Seroquel Not Working
- Taken to help me sleep and for paranoid symptoms. I don't think it helped very much.
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- Was on it for a little while. Wasn't the best medication, but certainly wasn't the worst.
Close Transgender
I'm a non-transsexual transgender person, a biological female who lives as a man, identifies as third gender. I try to live as gender ambiguously as possible, and feel there's more to life than the choice of Tab A or Slot B.
Open Fibromyalgia
Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in May of 2002, but still having on-again, off-again problems with pain. Currently not receiving treatment due to lack of insurance.
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Not Working
- Didn't help at all for my muscle pain, and caused a creepy crawly feeling over my legs when I took it.
- Elavil Not Working
- This was helpful for migraines and depression, but not for pain.
- Morphine Not Working
- I'm allergic to Morphine.
- Neurontin Not Working
- While helpful for my anxiety, it did nothing for my pain.
- Ultram Not Working
- This medication was useless against my pain.
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- I love this medication. It was the only thing that worked for the pain.
