I am a mother to a beautiful 2 yr old girl. I have a wonderful supportive husband and family. I was teaching until I got sick with the RA and with degenerating discs in my back and neck. I currently had spinal fusion on my lower back and am bedridden right now. I have had RA for at least 3 years but have only been diagnosed for the last year

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have struggled with RA for 3 years but only got diagnosed about a year ago. I have a 2 year old daughter and use to teach elementary school. I have since had to quit due to health issues. I have degenerative discs as well as RA. I recently--2 months ago--had spinal fusion on my lower back and am off all RA meds until it fuses.
Treatments
- Celebrex Not Working
- It did not help at all. No side effects that I remember. It has been awhile
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- It helped somewhat to relieve symptoms. No side effects but did not completely relieve pain
- Pain Management Clinic Working / Worked
- Helps with pain
- Plaquenil Not Working
- Take daily with no relief
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Relieved most of the pain andswelling
Close Back Pain
I am 32 yrs old with Rheumatoid Arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I recently had posterior lumbar spinal fusion and am still recovering. I have a wonderful supportive husband and a beautiful 2 yr old daughter.

- Bedrest Not Working
- did not help
- Carisoprodol Working / Worked
- taking now and it helps a lot
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- did not work
- Cortisone (Injection) Working / Worked
- some relief
- Darvon Not Working
- no help
- Epidural Injection Working / Worked
- some relief
- Fentanyl Working / Worked
- It helped somewhat
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- My current treatment plan and it helps a great deal
- Morphine Working / Worked
- Worked but too strong it knocked me out
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- It did nothelp at all in fact it made it worse
- TENS Not Working
- no relief
- Morphine Working / Worked
- helps somewhat
