My shot 23 was done in a special way.........I met 3 very good friends here at DS down in dallas for a day and a half of fun and laughing, eating and lots of rambling on..........
I hadn't realized how much i needed to meet with friends who i share this disease with and to be near someone who truly understands........... It was absolutely something i would do again in a minutes notice........
After retiring to our room i did shot 23 and slept well but got up early and felt ok.......Not great but not bad...... We all had breakfast and said our goodbyes, kind of sad for me because i wanted to hang out longer........As the day went on i felt more tired than usual but got a good spurt of energy when i got home and washed vehicles........mostly thinking about my newly met friends.............

wow.. Marty.... I'm so glad you got to meet a few of your good friends...........that understand......... I know how much they mean to you........ I know I don't really understand it.. because I don't share the disease........ I guess I understand it thru Rob.......... because I talk to him about it....... I do know it's hard.......... and I hate that you all have to suffer with this..........
I do.... I'm so glad you had a weekend with your friends... that you can share the memories with....... I hope one day I will meet my DS friends too..........

It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I was going to visit my sister for a weekend. Mema was going to see her son for a week. I coordinated so I'd get to see Mema, then we started talking about Bear and Marty living nearby. Sometimes the spontaneous meets are the best kind.
You are SO special Marty. It was wonderful to meet you.

Actualy Marty and I had a "secret weekend" together planned and you guys (and my hubby and Marty's wife ) all butted in........then Mema ran off with Marty and left me and poor Kelli there alone.................then my hubby ran off with Kelli, which just left me and Sarah and Weize.......................then..............well..then...........oh never mind...................I'm gonna get in trouble if I don't shut up!!!!!!

Very good! I can just feel the love reading all about your visit! And the pictures are great! I'm so jealous,...I would just love to meet all my DS friends..It would be a blessing that would stay with me for life....these are very , very special meetings. God Bless you all
