Shot #6 is done. Mood
Sunday, July 12, 2009

Shot #6 is in the history books. Woke up this morning with normal symptoms.... None really....... Just dry mouth and throat. 2 bottles of water and i'm flushed and ready..... I have been reading about riba rage...... I guess this effects people in different ways.... it definitely has not hit me in such a way as i have heard proclaimed. Maybe it's just cause i am such a free spirited guy.... j'k....... i am the lucky one so far...... Strength and appetite are still normal although my stamina has surely dropped. I just do what i can when i can. If i need to rest or eat, i do when my body tells me....... I wish i could be of more help to people on sides but as i have said... i'm one of the lucky ones......

I should get a v/l count this week at the doc....... I can't wait...... My curiosity is killing me concerning how long these after effects will stay in my body after i am done..... i want so much to be the Mr. Doanything that i used to be....

Message to the dragon, your going down Mo.....f'r......... your going down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Marty,
Glad the sides are tolerable for you and I like your message to the dragon. He's hearing you bro, because each day he's getting smaller and smaller.

    Here's a hug...

Wtg Marty - Im right there with you on shot 6. My sides have really not been that bad either - had a bout of bad mood for about a week, but my back was killing me on top of the tx, so I guess I can forgive myself that. Here's to the rest of your journey to be just as gentle and I'm sure you will bounce right back.

For some reason the newbies seem to think that the sides starts from the begining of treatment.
    Definitely not the case.
The sides usually starts around week 8 to 10, some even 12 weeks into treatment, for some reason, some started to say this, and the myth caught on, now everone is waiting for the sides to happen.
    NOT !
Stay positive, and you will be fine.
The worst side is the extreme fatigue, along with flu like symptoms.
What is bad about it is, that it gets long to have flu like symptoms for 24 or 48 weeks in a row.
So do not wait for the sides, you may wait a long time, since they don't just appear because one started the meds.
It takes time to be totally into your system.
So continue to drink loads of water, and eat right, most importantly do the regular things you do, and you just might be fine.
I spoke to one of my 48 weeks member last night, she just finished tx and didn't lose one hair on tx, I must admit this was a first for me, and I've been following members doing tx for almost a decade now, but it goes to show you that no one person is alike on tx,
I gather you are on tx for 24 weeks, I hope and pray that your PCR test comes back negative.
    Love & Respect,
    Mckenzie
