I have been married for four years and I work as an invoice clerk for an oilfield supply company. I was diagnosed with RA almost two years ago. We still haven't figured out the right cocktail to keep me feeling good but I'm trying to stay optimistic.

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I was diagnosed with RA in Sept '07. I still don't have it under control and my Rheumy and I are working at finding the right combination. Some day...........I work full time because I must. My husband is disabled so we have quite a deal of medical issues between us. I'm just grateful that I have him for support.
Treatments
- Enbrel Somewhat Helpful
- Been on it for 14 months. It's helping but doesn't do as much as I need it to. Don't really have too many side effects.
- Folic Acid Too Soon to Tell
- Just started two weeks ago in conjunction with Methotrexate. No side effects.
- Methotrexate Too Soon to Tell
- Just started 2 weeks ago. Using injectable and no real side effects as of yet.
- Plaquenil Somewhat Helpful
- Have been on this for about 8 months. Is helping but I need more. Had a hard time adjusting my body to it. My digestive system is really sensitive. But after 3 weeks all was well.
Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago but doctors were already thinking it when I was 18. I'm 30 years old now. I have been trying to get pregnant for 10-1/2 years but to no avail. I have facial hair that I shave everyday. I've also been diagnosed with RA so I seem to be a doctors dream patient. I'll always be coming back for more!

- Metformin Not Working
- I was so sick on this medicine that I had to quit. That sucked. I really hoped it would be an answer for me.
- Oral Contraceptives Too Soon to Tell
- I started taking YAZ a week ago. So far, I really like it. It has helped my acne already.
Open TMJ
I was diagnosed with TMJD in Feb 09. I'm just having a bite splint made this week. I also have RA which is probably what has led to the TMJD.

- Will be picking it up on June 5.
Open Depression

- Lexapro Not Working
- I took Lexapro for about 6 months but spent most of the time in my room once I got home from work. Didn't like the sexual side effects either.
Open Fibromyalgia
I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia in addition to RA that I already have.
Treatments
- Elavil Too Soon to Tell
- Just started taking. Don't know exactly how it will work. No side effects so far.
