I'm 69 years old and have severe emphysema. I'm retired of course. I used to be a typesetter. Before that jobs as a secretary. I'm very fond of all animals. Right now I have a little dwarf bunny named Benny.

Close COPD & Emphysema
I smoked for over 50 years so this is my fault entirely. The severe emphysema started about 4 or 5 years ago culminating in two hospitalizations due to exacerbations. Each time was worse. Very little excertion will set me off.
Treatments
- Advair Somewhat Helpful
- Don't use it anymore.
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- I use it now with a nebulizer and it does seem to help me quite a bit. No side effects.
- Atrovent Not Working
- Azmacort Working / Worked
- Don't use it anymore. Used it when I wasn't so bad and it seemed to help.
- Combivent Not Working
- Pulmicort Working / Worked
- I guess this helps. I use this too with a nebulizer.
- Serevent Not Working
- Spiriva Working / Worked
- Love this inhaler. It really seems to help.
- Symbicort Working / Worked
- Don't use it any more since going on to the Pulmicort in a nebulizer.
