Well, after nagging Kris to death, he finally has made an appt for Mon with the VA. The guy he enlisted with (the buddy program, what a joke) filed for bennies last Jan and is recieving 600.00 per mo for the rest of his life and he only did ONE tour in Iraq. PTSD and hearing loss. What a relief! I've known he's been suffering PTSD and that's one reason he's been procrastinating, at least he's going about it now!
All the stress from the other day and being so physical put me in the bed 2 days with an excruciating headache, jeez, cannot handle it. Everyone is so used to my being strong, physically and emotionally, they still think i can handle it. They never knew that I've always had a hard time emotionally as I would try hide it, which I think I did quite well until I was too overwhelmed to handle anything, hence psychiatry. I KNOW the stress and depression contributes greatly to my physical being, known it for a long time, just thought I'd be able to change or adapt as I always in the past, guess I'm just getting too old for it, my body can handle but so much.
I am SO proud of Patrick! He was almost held back last yr because of his difficulties with math so it was recommended that I have him tutored during the summer. I didn't, he didn't want to. They were given diagnostic testing after starting back to school to see what level they were and guess what? He is in the 6th grade level of both math and reading! He's in the 5th grade! I thought it could be a maturity issue as both of my other two were slow and then caught up, and looks like I was right, I am SO proud! If he keeps this up he'll soon be in the Accelerated Classes or what they called "gifted" in Va. If only I could have seen this with Dylan! He would have never been put on those drugs!
I am feeling much, much better today! Going to take a shower and clean p a bit.
The weather here is beautiful, 80's and breezy, not much humidity though so I pray my eyes hold up.
By the way, did ya'll know that the ocean below Au and the South Pole has been renamed? It is now called the South Ocean! Go figure, no I do not know more than 5th grader!! HA HA
