About Me
I stay home mostly as I am now disabled. I am 51. I have cervical disc disease as well as neovascular eye disease and Fibro. I have 3 sons, Kris 25, Dylan 19 and Patrick 11. Kris is a marine returning from 2 tours in Iraq and lives in Va. Beach which is our hometown. Dylan is a musician and a wonderful songwriter and Patrick is the love of my life! He's in the 5th grade. I'm hoping to get him back in Karate but it's hard as I'm sick a lot. I plan to have surgery, cervical disc replacement, after the holidays. The recover takes awhile 9-12 months. I am signing Patrick up for CAP when he is 12, we had to drop out of scouts, too hard for me to be involved. Hopefully I'll be recovered by then.

Interests
I love to garden, ride my bike and going to the beach as I am a beach girl. Since I'm STUCK here in the country, I'm making myself learn to enjoy what it offers. I can say that now because of the fall foliage changing, lol. After that more isolation. Thank goodness for DS!

Is he gonna get the bone from your hip? I've heard that's painful. When I had my fusion, my neuro used synthetic spacers instead of bone. But whatever works, right? Still waiting for any of this to work. Sigh. Have a good weekend! Love, Sue

I did not know that this time was so difficult for you as well. I am so sorry. Hope the sun is shining there its cold and cloudy here. Does not help. I have to go to the lawyer's tomorrow. I hope to stop by the cemetery. Haven't been there since we all were there.

Not good, but thanks for asking. But the sunshine just came out, and it's backlighting my computer monitor. A very happy scene, if I say so myself. I just tried to do some very mild exercises, had it was not a good thing. I haven't read your journal yet. Must go do that now. Love you, Sue

Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Fibro when my ins. wouldn't pay for Lyrica. I never thought past my cervical disc problem because that pain was so bad. The dr. then xamined me and said I have tender as well as trigger point areas, so I do indeed suffer from Fibro as well.
Treatments
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- great for the pain however has caused a calf rash and was told to stop it. I started taking it again however because it's the only drug that helps.
Close Degenerative Disc Disease
I have cervical disc disease with arthritis. I hurt all the time. Recently found out that I also have advanced neo vascular eye disease with new blood vessels growing over my corneas. So please excuse me if I sometimes mess up,lol.
Open Blindness & Visual Impairment
Recently been diagnosed with advanced neovascular eye disease. Drs can't do anything, no laser or cutting. I guess I just wait until the blood vessels completely cover my corneas. My vision comes and goes. Sometimes all is clear. other days so blurry that I can't see a thing.

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have suffered from depression for many years. Still it's hard to cop ,even with meds. I have used almost all the meds listed. I feel clearer without them.

My husband constantly plays mind games with me. He tries to make me feel crazy. I receive SS disability and on the sec 8 list, trying to get out.

I have a 18 yr. old son (Dylan). He's always in trouble. I think some of his problems are due to the fact that I agreed to put him on Adderall when he was 9 for Add. By the time he got to middle school he was using cocaine. I never let him get his licence as I knew he was using. Emotionally he is all over the place. He lives at home now.
