Thank you so much for thinking of me. I know you have so much on your own plate right now. I am sorry to hear about your troubles with your son. If you want to talk about it, I am here.

I'm With You
brassai (11/12/09)
I'm right there with you Clairl, My traumas all come from childhood, from age 2 through 19. I do (now) have family support however, as one of my 4 siblings (my one Sister) is only 2 years older and experienced much of the same, from a different and more protected perspective. The youngest of my three Brothers (17 years older than me) has now started to understand some "odd occurrences" that happened between him moving out on his own (at 18) and getting married... but he never saw it directly. The two older brothers didn't experience it at all and just think Sis and I were whiners. Who needs them. (sorry this hug got long)

I'm With You

It is amazing how important my DS friends have become to me...thank you for being here when I am in need. Like you,I do not have the family support, so us girls must stick together and get through this. Our journeys with PTSD started much differently, but they have brought us on the same path...our paths have crossed for a reason.

High Five

Hey Alice :) I love Thanksgiving too. It was big with family when I was a kid too. Now all those relatives have passed on. My mom and dad are alive but I havent seen them in 7yrs. They have been divorced since I was 4 then my mom dragged me through hell with various men. ANYWAY our family is small here in Colorado. Just me Tom, Clarke and Tom's mom. I am definitely going to cook this year. Your brownie decorated pizza sounds like so much fun! Smart. I miss the fine china and fancy feasts my grandparents used to have. Everyone would be dressed up. It was in Louisiana so it wasn't cold. I love the holidays too. We must count our blessings and keep hope and faith alive. Love you Jennay

Little Love

"All men and women are born, live suffer and die; what distinguishes us one from another is our dreams, whether they be dreams about worldly or unworldly things, and what we do to make them come about...We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents. We do not choose our historical epoch, the country of our birth, or the immediate circumstances of our upbringing. We do not, most of the time, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we live." Joseph Epstein

Thank you for your support. It's hard to take so much in and be able to say, "Yea, that's me". I was fortunate to find this site the other day and I can already feel the support.
