i live in colorado with my husband and 8 year old grandson, two bostons and two kit kats. i am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and lived in Iowa for a while too and i prefer Iowa to anywhere on this earth until winter anyways, but my hubby dont want to move there (yet) hehee...so we live in colorado instead. i have two girls, one son and eleven grandkids whom i adore and love every single one of them, they are all gorgeous and or handsome.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I started having anger outbursts when i was in my early teen. never thought anything about them until i started having awful moods last year or so. got so bad husband and kids and grandkids didnt want to be around me. Psych Dr. diagnosed me with "soft bipolar" put me on lithium, having migraines nowand loud ear ringing and gaining a few pounds. looking for alternatives
Treatments
- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- i really liked celexa alot and it helped my depression so much. however every 3 weeks or so i was having mood outbursts and my psych dr. said it is cause of the "mild or soft bipolar" so he took me off it. been trying lithium but hesitant about it still.
- Depakote Working / Worked
- I was only on depakote for about two weeks. it sure took away my anxiety cause one day i forgot it and i was sitting in kmart parking lot bawling my head off and not knowing why. when i thought about the depakote i took it and i felt so much better almost immediately. i weaned off it right after that cause i didnt want to go through hell if i forgot it again!
- Lithium Somewhat Helpful
- it's so hard to say. i think it was helping. either that i was just in a mild mania period and thought it was working. i was getting visual migraines daily and loud ear ringing and Dr. says not from that. i took myself off it now been about 4 days and today i had my bad edgy mood back and trying so hard to control it. visual migraines better last two days but ear still ringing.
