About Me
I was diagnosed with CML on April 24, 2009. The same day as my 8 year wedding anniversary. What a gift! I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters. They are 9 and 5 and my reasons to fight this cancer. This is all new to me. I don't think it has really set in yet. I have cried alot and thought about death alot and prayed more than antyhing. The Lord is my strength and he will help me bear this burden. I work for a major cell phone carrier in customer service, so my job is pretty stressful. i have to deal with other people's problems and act like I don't have any of my own. I enjoy camping and traveling with my family. i am addicted to my space and facebook, though I am ashamed to admit it! Since I have been sick life has slowed down some, but I plan for it all to go back to normal eventually.

Interests
I love to just spend quiet times with my family. We enjoy jet skiing, camping, and going to the beach. I love to take pictures and make scrapbooks. I love music and it has helped me get through some very hard times in my life. No matter what I am going through I can put on some music, have a good cry, and feel better. I love to watch movies, CSI, and i addicted to reality tv. I know it's lame, but I like to watch other people's drama since I don't have much of my own. i am a very spiritual person and I truly believe prayer can change things.

Close Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)
I was diagnosed on April 24, 2009. I had trouble with my insurance sompany getting the Gleevec so I have only been taking it for about two weeks now. I am feeling worse than I did before right now. I have good days and bad ones so I cherish the good. I am still dealing with the fact that I have cancer.
Treatments
- Gleevec Too Soon to Tell
- I have been taking it for 2 weeks. I am having nausea, dizziness, and I am so tired I don't want to get off the couch sometimes. I am having some bone and joint pain too.
