      Recently lost my 81 year old Mom on April 21, 2009. I was laid off in December 2008 after working for 38 years at the same company. I've come to realize that my job and my Mom filled me enough to just lead a simple life on weekends and keep activity to a minimum. Now I need to recreate a new life for myself because I'm feeling lonely for the first time in my life and also feeling lost! I'm really struggling to be happy and optomistic again. I began seeing a counselor 2 weeks ago (July 2009) who deals with bereavement and depression so I have my fingers crossed.
