Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I was diagnosed with uc in 2006 and have not had a normal day since. Doc found granulomas in my last colonoscopy and changed diagnosis to cd. Started humira on tuesday. Hope it works. All I want is to have enough energy to play with my little girl
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- Made no difference
- Azathioprine Somewhat Helpful
- It did help a bit but i was very nauseous. Had to stop because my white blood cell count dropped
- Dietary Modification Somewhat Helpful
- Flagyl Somewhat Helpful
- Horribly nauseating!!!
- Medrol Working / Worked
- Only worked on high doses.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Worked only on more than 20mg daily. Doc says this is not a longterm solution as it may cause other diseases
- Probiotics Somewhat Helpful
- Not sure if it's really doing anything
- Humira Too Soon to Tell
- Bleeding has stopped but it will take time according to doc. Have developed injection site reaction
