About Me
I am 47, 3 kids, and one grandbaby. I have been diagnosed for 5 years with RA and according to my doctor I have a severe case. I am an big Green Bay Packers fan. I have been with my husband 20 years. I am a Regional Account Manager for a finance company. I worked for them exactly 90 days when I was diagnosed and they have been terrific about my bad days. I often feel like I am going crazy the last few years thinking that I am slowly or should I say quickly falling apart.

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I am 47 and diagnosed for 5 years for RA. I started on Methotrexate, it made me sick so I went off of it for 3 years, takiang nothing. That was a very painful time. My doctor then told my husband I would be in very bad shape within a year if I didn't take treatments. I went on Remicade and Arava, which at first went great. Than 6 weeks ago I started flaring, I took another treatment and again it did not last more than 4 weeks. Right now I am in a full blown flare waiting for test results.
Treatments
- Arava Working / Worked
- Worked for 1 year, right now not working.
- Folic Acid Somewhat Helpful
- Helped with methotrexate some but not enough.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- It worked but made me too sick to use.
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- Made me raging mad and could not take.
- Remicade Working / Worked
- It was working for a year, now it only works for about 4 weeks and my doctor is concerned that I may have anitbodies that are attacking the medicine. I am still waiting on test results for that diagnosis.
