When I found out I had pre-cancerous cells on my cervix.  Hubby and I were thinking about having another baby.  We wanted to untie my tubes so we can try having one.  But, when we got the news it stopped us thinking about having a baby.  Didn't know HPV can do that to a healthy person.  Too bad they don't have a shot out for older people over 26 to take that shot. 

My uncle died from lung cancer couple of years ago.  And cancer runs on my dad's side.  So, that is why I was scared when I got the news.

Had my TAH on April 20, 2009 @ 10am.  Doctor removed the cervix and uterus.  Also he had to unattach my left ovary from my colon.  I lost 20 lbs within 2 months.  Surgery went well (hubby was pacing back and forth in the waiting room while I was having surgery).  Stayed in the hospital for 2 nights and went home on April 22, 2009. 

Still healing as today.
