    • Open Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)

As a single mom, it helps to share the joys and challenges of parenting a preschooler.

      Treatments

      Attachment Parenting Working / Worked
Breastfeeding, co-sleeping, baby-wearing when she was smaller, have all been helpful.
      Child Time-out Working / Worked
We use strong sitting or yoga kneeling postures with calming breaths so that she can take an active part in regulating her own energy.
      Education (School) Working / Worked
Home schooling. She's reading and performing math years ahead of her chronology. She loves to read and is doing so in three languages: Mandarin, English and Spanish.
      Patience Working / Worked
Reminding myself that she's only 3. Seeing things from her perspective and remembering that she is experimenting to establish what makes the world tick.
      Play Therapy Working / Worked
As a form of distraction this works well. There are specific toys that I save for when she needs to work something out. She uses making up her own songs to process her emotional and mental development challenges.
      Positive Reinforcement Working / Worked
Empowering words and reflective parenting are more helpful to us then praise.
    • Open Obesity

I currently am recuperating from an unwanted and traumatic C-section and two years following it of being an invalid. I weigh 325 lbs. and plan to regain my core strength and fitness.

      Treatments

      Breast Feeding Working / Worked
My daughter is almost 4 and we're planning on continuing until she self weans.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
See Z Health and RKC Kettlebells.
