One problem avoided Mood
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 | A General Update story

I went  into the emergeny room today. My leg has felt like I either had or was developing a new clot.  Unfortunately my dr doesn't have his own dopler although it would have surprised if he did. Anyway after 4 hours of waiting (and this was at the top of the line) I was finally able to get my  dopler test and NO new clot. They don't know where the pain was coming from and suggested I might have straied my calif muscle which is very possible considering my recent inabilty to walk a straight line and bouncing off the walls and falling a lot recently. I'm not worried about what it is but what it wasn't. The other stuff can wait, the clot stuff I was terribly concerned about. Now I just have to figure out how to pay for it. 'sigh'.

Unfortuntely had both my Dragonlady and my daughter worried  but there was no way around that. The other unfortunate thing is my inr was way down even though it had been tested and was exactly where it was supposed to be just last Thursday. I guess I will get another inr test in a few days and see where I am. At any rate I am greatly releved. I guess the next major thing is to figure out why I am so dizzy all the time ( no jokes please). I suspect it's from my slow heartbeat (if it's UP to 50 I'm excited about something). I suspect I'm just not getting enough blood to my brain as it only seems to act up when I am standing. regardless I will deal with it as best I can and if nothing can be done then will learn to deal with it. Such is life in the fast lane I guess.

Hope that you can work things out -- I know that absolutely none of this is fun and you're weary of it. Keep on keeping on! Medicine is so cutting-edge these days, you never know what they'll uncover that could help immensely.
