My New Reality
Judging by the progress made and even taking in my account the joy of having a good dr again there are some things that I need to get used to I …
I have suffered from thrombophila for 20 years +. and have been in pain for that long. Since 1992 it\'s been 24/7/365. It never stops. What I once considered to be a pain level of 8 or 9 I now consider to be maybe a 2. It gets old and it never stops. Any complication you can get with dvt I\'ve had. From hemorrhaging to strokes, to pulmonary embolisms, to heart attacks. Plus a few that the dr\'s could never figure out. Over the years I have gone from complete quacks to some exceptional world class dr\'s. Currently due to finances and the quality of care I\'m getting I have given up on the dr\'s completely. I show up so they can do the tests and I can get my prescriptions but other then that I ignore them as much as possible. Most of the time they just don\'t seem to have a clue and I\'ve dealt with my medical condition probably longer then they have been practicing (key word is \"practicing\"). I suppose there is some solace in knowing ahead of time just how I will die. either by a heart attack (have had 2 of those, not to bad, should be quick). A PE. (pulmonary embolism) which is just bleeding in a lung. I\'ve heard that drowning isn\'t really all that bad, does it matter if it\'s water or blood? I think not. I hardly go a week without spitting out a little blood. So long as they are small I don\'t even worry about them any more. Wouldn\'t do any good anyway. The final one is a major stroke. That is the one that really scares me. If it kills me reasonably quickly I\'m ok with it. But living as a vegetable scares me to death. Until that time I just endure and try to deal with what life has given me, try to help others as much as I can, and just try to endure till the end.

Web Site development, wood working and carving, sometimes very bad poetry. I also teach Scripture a little bit. That is the one I truly enjoy. Not any good at it but I love doing it.

So last night after having chest pains most of the afternoon and evening, I decided I needed to get checked out. Woke up the wife and said "I think I need to go to the ER." Her reply: "Oh no, so are you gonna call an ambulance or drive yourself?"
On the plus side, nothing was wrong....I've had a problem shoulder for a few days and my the muscles were spasming into my chest. CT scan and the cardiac workup was clear. It just matters that I now know.
Hope you're doing alright. :) Was just stopping by to say hello and give out chocolate
Wow! You have been through a lot and I'm amazed at how you keep moving through it all. I wish I had the sense of peace that you have. Here's more for you.
Thanks for the hug and the journal comment. :)
