I am one of many who suffer from Interstitial Cystitis but refuse to allow it to define me. I adore my family and friends. They are always there for me and support me to no end. I intend to reach my full potential as set before IC came into my life 6 years ago. This includes finishing school, having a family, and having a successful career one day.

I enjoy simplicity. A day with my family catching up on life, reminiscing of days passed, or playing games will leave me with a smile lasting for days. I have a very loving boyfriend that is understanding and encouraging who I can spend all day with doing nothing and it will turn out to be the best day ever. The LORD is a major part of my life. Spending time praying and worshiping is the most fulfilling times one can experience.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my journal entry and to respond to it. You truly helped me and made my day! I do wish that doctors could have a taste of what we experience on a daily basis. They study and study for years but they have no idea what it feels like to have this much pain. I believe you are right... maybe I needed to go through this in order to find a really good, and much better. doctor. I am more relaxed today. I worked last night and was so angry but once I got moving, I slowly relaxed and felt a little less stress. I filed a discrimination complaint against the doctor and will be filing another one against him through the Medical Board of Wisconsin. My husband suggested that I contact the news also, only because he believes there are other patients like me out there, being treated like garbage. I'm sorry that you had to look 6 hours away for a good doctor. I'm just so glad that you found one. I really appreciate your message. I'm going to see my regular doctor this week. He's very cool and has been my doctor for 15 years. I'm hoping that he can regulate my pain meds for me and I'm considering going back on Elmiron, which helped me in the past. I'm trying to find a good treatment to help me, so I can slowly stop taking the pain meds all together. Keep me posted on how everything is going for you. Take care and have a great week! :)
