Hi, Emme!!!! I wasn't misdiagnosed, so can't help you on that score!! I looked to make sure that you were signed up for the Bipolar Board and see that you are. Don't know if you are a new member there, but just wanted to say that if you are, I hope that you will love it there!!! It can be a really great place for support and information!!
Good luck getting used to your new label and meds. I found that to be a rather unsettling period in my life, at first. I hope this leads to much better times ahead for you!!!! Take good care!!!

Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionAnxiety/depression for 30ish years. Currently coming out of severe depression, about to get cleared to go back to work after medical leave.

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- Effexor Working / Worked
- been on for about 10 years, off and on. started for anxiety, gets increased with depression.
- Lexapro Not Working
- didn't work.
- Meditation Working / Worked
- Paxil Not Working
- didn't work
- Prozac Working / Worked
- was on 20 some odd years ago. worked well.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- works with select friends and family. some thing depression isn't real and I just need to buck up.
- Trazodone Not Working
- didn't work.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- go on when depression gets bad. seems to be working.
- Writing Working / Worked
- sort of worked.
Close Psoriasis
Intractable psoriasis lower legs. Everything works for a couple weeks, then it comes back worse than before. Hugely embarassing and it grosses me out. Keeps me from dating.

Open Obesity
4 years post gastric bypass. Gained 15lbs back but have now lost almost all of it. Never got close to my goal and no one knows why. Most frustrating experience of my life, but I'm still at it. Want to lose another 30lbs.
