    • Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

In February of 2007 a horseback riding accident lead to my left leg being crushed below me. I was in a brace from thigh to ankle, and a month after the accident I found out that I had a DVT that reached up to my upper thigh. I was on Coumadin for 6 months, but the pain and swelling never went away. 18 months after my accident I was scanned again, and no remaining signs of the clot were found, but still constant pain and swelling. I have now been diagnosed with Post Thrombotic Syndrom.
