So sorry to hear that your daughter has caught something. Hopefully, it's not that awful flu! The kids will love finding their candies from you in the mailbox. Cute idea!
I'm planning to go "trick or treating" with the grandkids tonight. We're praying that the rain will hold out until after that. We had two grandsons (2 and 4) spend last night with us. Ray and I took them to a fall festival at church, where they played lots of games, ate lots of junk, and had lots of fun! They also spent the night. I'm pooped this morning.
Ray has gone fishing with two of his buddies. Those three love being together. Maybe they'll even luck up and catch some fish.

How awful that both your parents died so young and from cancer. It is such a horrible disease and seems to be in every family.
I'm sure you enjoyed the shopping trip with your daughter. Did you find any treasures?
One of our grandchildren also got the swine flu. Fortunately, no one else in the family got it. I pray that you won't either. Should you have any symptoms, RUN to the doctor!
We had a wonderful time in the mountains. The leaves were absolutely gorgeous and the cooler weather so refreshing. As much as we enjoyed the little get-away, it's good to be at home again.
I've missed you this week, darlin.

Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
Hi my name is debbie. I found out in July of 2008 that I have stage IV kidney cancer. I was treated with Sutent for 4 months but it wasn"t working for me and the side effects were worse each month. I am now on Torisel I will be having my 4th treatment tomorrow. The tumor on my left kidney pretty much is the entire kidney and I also have a smaller tumor on my right kidney. I have one small tumor on my brain which was treated with radiation and I also have between 9-10 tumors in each lung!
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Too Soon to Tell
- Have only had three treatments with Torisel. Side effects so far are mild. Sore gums, sore inside of nose.
- Sutent Not Working
- I took Sutent for 4 months. the tumors did not shrink and theside effects were getting bad. Very high blood pressure, fatigue,weekness in legs, sores inside nose
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- I had 5 radiation treatments to my brain. Mri done last month showed the tumor hadshrunk big time. Next MRI in Oct.
