Close Parents of Children with ADHD
My son is 7 years old and has ADHD. Though he was recently diagnosed, we've known he's had it for close to 2 years now. We have battled with the schools, and have had to fight for equal treatment for him. We just recently got him covered under the 504 plan.
Close ADHD / ADD
My son is 7 years old and has ADHD. My husband and I both work very hard to enforce a positive learning environment for him. We call him a homeschooled kid who goes to public school because a large part of his education comes from us teaching him in ways that work better for an ADHD kid instead of the standard way the school system does it. Though we do leave medicating him as a final option, we haven't gotten there yet and hope to not have to.
